Xul Beer Co. – Downtown Knoxville

Xul Beer Co.’s Downtown Knoxville taproom is the brewery’s original location, dating to Xul’s 2020 launch in Knoxville. The space occupies a former 1960s Volkswagen showroom and retains its 180-degree glass facade and mid-century-modern character, giving the taproom broad city views and abundant natural light. Xul’s beer program ranges from hazy IPAs and lagers to heavily fruited, often gluten-free sours and barrel-aged stouts, with both established beers and rotating specialties represented on draft. Smashburgers are also available through a local restaurant partnership at the downtown location. For visitors, the distinctive architecture, broad range of beer styles, comfortable lounge-style seating, and on-site food make this a useful introduction to Xul’s Knoxville roots.
