Blackhorse Pub and Brewery – Clarksville

Blackhorse Pub & Brewery’s Clarksville location is the original home of the Tennessee brewery and restaurant, which opened in downtown Clarksville in 1992 before adding its own brewery in 1995. That history makes it one of the earlier independent craft-brewing operations established in the Southeast during the modern craft beer era. The Franklin Street pub combines Blackhorse’s house beers with a full restaurant experience, giving visitors a more traditional brewpub setting than a taproom focused only on beer. Blackhorse’s core lineup includes styles such as pale ale, IPA, blonde ale, stout, and vanilla cream ale, alongside rotating seasonal and specialty releases. The Clarksville location is especially notable for its role in the brewery’s history, including its reopening after a 1999 tornado heavily damaged downtown.
