Half Batch Brewing Co.

Half Batch Brewing Co. is a Hendersonville brewery and taproom in Sumner County, about 20 minutes north of downtown Nashville. Founder Nathan Newton began homebrewing in a college apartment in 1995 and opened Half Batch in 2017 after more than two decades of pursuing the idea. The brewery makes a broad range of styles, including IPAs, lagers, Scottish ale, and British-inspired beer, with classic British bitter holding a particularly important place in its identity. Cheeky Pete, a session-strength British pub ale, also inspired the brewery’s donkey mascot. Half Batch distributes beer across Middle Tennessee, while its Hendersonville public room serves as the home base for drinking it at the source. The taproom is designed as a relaxed, community-oriented gathering place centered on locally brewed beer.
