About

Bad Idea Brewing is an independent brewery in Columbia, Tennessee, founded after a 2015 dinner-table conversation among friends and opened to the public in 2019. It was Columbia and Maury County’s first on-site brewery, initially operating in the city’s Arts District before moving to its current North Garden Street location. Rather than maintaining a fixed lineup of flagship beers, Bad Idea emphasizes an evolving tap list that gives the brewing team room to explore both traditional styles and more experimental ideas. The brewery is owned by Kassi and Zac Fox, with Zac serving as head brewer after years of brewing experience. Its current taproom shares space with Ollie & Finn’s sandwich counter, giving visitors access to a full food option alongside beer brewed on site.
